Which MKZ years does this emblem fit?

This light up emblem fits the Lincoln MKZ from 2017–2021. It is a direct OEM replacement for the factory front grille star badge across all MKZ trims for these model years. If you own a pre-2017 MKZ, please contact us before ordering to confirm whether it is compatible with your specific year and badge mounting system.

Does this emblem have a dynamic animation or is it a static glow?

The Dynamic Style variant features an animated startup sequence — the star badge illuminates with a flowing effect when your MKZ starts, then settles into a steady white glow.

What does 'no white border' mean?

The original factory Lincoln MKZ badge has a white painted border around the outer edge of the star design. Our light up emblem omits this border, leaving just the chrome-plated star surface and LED illumination. The result is a slightly cleaner, more streamlined look that many MKZ owners prefer. If you specifically want the white border design, please contact us before ordering.

Is this emblem available in colours other than white?

No — the Lincoln MKZ light up emblem is available in white LED only. White illumination delivers the most accurate factory-matched appearance for the MKZ's chrome-plated star badge. If you are looking for a multicolor option for a different Lincoln model, see our full Lincoln emblem range at https://www.ledcaremblem.com/category/light-up-lincoln-emblem/.

Is installation plug-and-play on the MKZ?

Yes — fully plug-and-play. The emblem connects to your MKZ's existing 12V lighting circuit using the factory mounting points and the included 1.5m wiring harness. No wire splicing, no drilling, and no permanent modifications. Installation takes approximately 30–45 minutes for most MKZ owners with basic hand tools.

Will it cause any warning lights on my MKZ?

No — the emblem matches the original electrical load of the factory MKZ badge. Drawing only 2W at 0.1A, the ECU registers no change and there are no dashboard warning lights or error codes across all 2017–2021 MKZ trims.

Is the MKZ light up emblem waterproof?

Yes — IP67 waterproof rated. As confirmed by one of our customers, it performs perfectly in heavy rain and cold weather. The LED components are fully sealed within the emblem housing, protecting against dust, rain, snow, and water immersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.
